Todd William Raney, 45 of Anderson Indiana died on Tuesday October 31st at his residence after losing his short but hard fought battle to cancer.
He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Sharon (Fox) Raney of Anderson, his handsome sons Trey and Chance Raney of North Webster, IN, his beautiful daughter Brooklyn Raney of North Webster IN, his sister and brother-in-law Andrea and Dan Grogan of Fishers, IN, his nephew Grayson Grogan of Fishers, IN and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are lifelong good friends Randy Winemiller and Aaron Keith. He was also very close with his cousins Shawn Fox and Rick Stechnowicz.
He is preceded in death by his father Bill Raney, Uncles Cliff Raney and Mark Fox, Grandparents Robert and Mable Fox, Grandmother Lula Bell Raney, Great Aunt Edith Custis, cousin Chris Raney and son who was born into Heaven Christian Raney.
Todd was born on December 26, 1971 to Bill and Sharon (Fox) Raney and lived the majority of his life in Anderson. He graduated from Highland High School in 1990 and did factory work until he became disabled from heart problems.
Todd had hobbies which included sky diving, roller coasters, music and sports. He was a huge lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and also really liked the New York Yankees and the Tennessee Volunteers. He loved listening to a wide variety of music, but had a special fondness of Hank Williams Jr. In fact, even as sick and weak as he was he was still able to take Trey, Chance, and Shawn to a Hank concert in August and that gave him such joy and happiness. He also had special memories of taking Trey to a Foo Fighters concert a few years ago. He frequently talked about what a fun time that was.
Todd considered his 3 kids the best thing he ever did in his life. He loved them all very much and absolutely loved spending time with them. He was even known to play Barbie or Pokemon with Brooklyn just to see her happy.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 18, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Anderson Church of the Brethren with Gary and Lorraine Keith and Pastor Spaulding officiating. Some of his cremains will be scattered at a later date.
